Ontario Invites 2,086 Canada Express Entry Candidates from Health Occupations
Ontario conducted its first Human Capital Priorities Stream draw for 2024, targeting health professionals for Canadian Immigration.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) draw took place on February 6, with a total of 2,086 Notifications of Interest issues.
The Draw targeted candidates in the following health occupations with a Comprehensive Draw Score (CRS) range of 379-430:
NOC 30010 - Managers in health care
NOC 31100 - Specialists in clinical and laboratory medicine
NOC 31101 - Specialists in surgery
NOC 31102 - General practitioners and family physicians
NOC 31103 - Veterinarians
NOC 31110 - Dentists
NOC 31111 - Optometrists
NOC 31112 - Audiologists and speech-language pathologists
NOC 31120 - Pharmacists
NOC 31121 - Dieticians and nutritionists
NOC 31201 - Chiropractors
NOC 31202 - Physiotherapists
NOC 31203 - Occupational therapists
NOC 31204 - Kinesiologists and other professional occupations in therapy and assessment
NOC 31209 - Other professional occupations in health diagnosing and treating
NOC 31300 - Nursing coordinators and supervisors
NOC 31301 - Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses
NOC 31302 - Nurse practitioners
NOC 31303 - Physician assistants, midwives and allied health professionals
NOC 32100 - Opticians
NOC 32101 - Licensed practical nurses
NOC 32102 - Paramedical occupations
NOC 32103 - Respiratory therapists, clinical perfusionists and cardiopulmonary technologists
NOC 32104 - Animal health technologists and veterinary technicians
NOC 32109 - Other technical occupations in therapy and assessment
NOC 32110 - Denturists
NOC 32111 - Dental hygienists and dental therapists
NOC 32112 - Dental technologists and technicians
NOC 32120 - Medical laboratory technologists
NOC 32121 - Medical radiation technologists
NOC 32122 - Medical sonographers
NOC 32123 - Cardiology technologists and electrophysiological diagnostic technologists
NOC 32124 - Pharmacy technicians
NOC 32129 - Other medical technologists and technicians
NOC 32200 - Traditional Chinese medicine practitioners and acupuncturists
NOC 32201 - Massage therapists
NOC 32209 - Other practitioners of natural healing
NOC 33100 - Dental assistants and dental laboratory assistants
NOC 33101 - Medical laboratory assistants and related technical occupations
NOC 33102 - Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates
NOC 33103 - Pharmacy technical assistants and pharmacy assistants
NOC 33109 - Other assisting occupations in support of health services
Only candidates who had work experience in the above NOCs, listed one of these as the primary NOC in their Express Entry profile and met the CRS draw score range were issued a Notification of Interest (NOI).
Candidates who received a NOI must submit their online application on the OINP portal under Ontario's Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream within 45 days of receiving the NOI.

Requirements for the Ontario Express Entry: Human Capital Priorities Stream:
To qualify, applicants must have:
Active profile under the Federal Express Entry system and be qualified under FSWP or the CEC
If applying under FSWP - have a minimum of 1 year of full-time (30 hours/week = 1,560 hours/year) or equal amount in part-time (15 hours/week for 2 years), continuous work experience in one of the above listed NOCs within the last 10 years
If applying under CEC - have atleast 1 year of full-time or equal amount in part-time work experience in Canada in one of the above NOCs within the last 3 years
Must have completed an education credential assessment for immigration purposes from the relevant designated organization and obtained an education equivalency of the minimum Canadian credential required to practice the listed NOC in Canada
Obtained a minimum language proficiency of CLB/NCLC 7 in English or French under FSWP or CLB/NCLC 7 for TEER 0 or 1 and CLB/NCLC 5 for TEER 2 or 3 under CEC
Intention to make Ontario their home province
Legal status in Canada, if applicable
Draw CRS score range of 379-430
